The TaskCollect development team is small, but the number of existing educational platforms is huge. Each platform uses its own proprietary protocols and APIs, often neglecting well-established standards as well. This means that we have to put significant time and effort to manually creating the support layer for each platform.
For each educational institution, we have to add platform support for all the educational platforms in use. The more features a platform has, the more we have to implement. Adding TaskCollect support for an institution may take up to a year with our limited resources.
If you want us to add support for a certain platform/institution, you can send a request to taskcollect-discuss. However, given our constraints, you might also wish to hire software developers to implement platform support and have them send us their work to be integrated into our codebase. If you have the necessary skills, you could also take on the challenge yourself. More information about contributing to TaskCollect is available here.
The rest of this page details the current state of TaskCollect's platform support.
Example School support is being added as part of the refactoring process which is currently leading up to TaskCollect v1.1.0. Expect support to be complete upon the v1.1.0 release.
Current support status:
GIHS was the first supported institution and continues to be the primary target for ongoing support. Continued support from 2025 onwards will only be possible if a new maintainer for GIHS is found. Please email taskcollect-discuss if this sounds interesting to you. You may need to prove your enrolment at GIHS before your approval.
